Enhancing the Recruitment Process

Case Study: Proving a vetting and due diligence programme for a multi-national corporation

Challenge: The company required a comprehensive vetting and due diligence programme across its multi-national offices to ensure the standardisation of the recruitment process which met relevant government standards.

Solution: Harquebus provided a suite of vetting standards and due diligence protocols applied to the recruitment process for all new hires, from short-term contracts to the C-suite. This is combined with training and mentoring for HR and security staff to identify areas of concern in the new hire applications that can be more rigorously explored during recruitment. We also look at current employees seconded to sensitive tasks and those leavers covered by security clauses to confirm contract adherence.

Result:  The programme has been successfully running for several years. During this time, we have numerous successful cases of potential applicants not selected due to omissions/exaggerations in CVs or undeclared interests in competitors or special interest groups. The C-Suite has regularly used Harquebus to derisk business decisions across its operations as part of its decision-making process.
